About
Clayton Thomas is an EconCS postdoc at Microsoft Research New England. He completed his PhD in the theoretical computer science group at Princeton. His research focuses on market design, for example, he studies the algorithms used in many large cities to assign students to high-schools. Lately, he has been most excited about ways to make these school-choice algorithms (and their important properties) easier to understand. More broadly, he is interested in developing meaningful theoretical models of interpretability, transparency, and simplicity in many economic settings.
