Guoqing Liu (刘国庆) is a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research AI for Science based in Cambridge, UK. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) (opens in new tab) through a joint program with Microsoft Research Asia, under the supervision of Dr. Tie-Yan Liu (opens in new tab) and Prof. Nenghai Yu (opens in new tab).

His current research focuses on leveraging AI to accelerate scientific discovery. His research interests include reinforcement learning, large language models, high performance computing, and AI for Science.
