Jean Garcia-Gathright

About

Jean is a Principal Applied Scientist with the Sociotechnical Alignment Center (STAC) in MSR New York. Her research interests include metrics and evaluation, algorithmic responsibility, and content moderation. She is especially proud of championing a product-oriented way of working in research, facilitating consensus-driven project planning, communication, and collaboration. Jean received her PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

I enjoy photography, making music with friends, and going for hikes in the Berkshires region of western Massachusetts.
