I am a research hardware engineer at Networking Research Group in Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing. My experience covers development of several integrated system, including stabilization for airborne hyper-spectral data collection and processing system, BLE enabled edge computing for indoor LBS, advanced hardware supported resource disaggregation in data center infrastructure.
My recent research focuses on hardware disaggregation and future AI infrastructure. For disaggregation, to design the whole hardware system using existing commercial hardware to achieve hardware virtualization and disaggregation. such technics as well as influence the future infrastructure design by combining performance, cost, enviromental impact must be considered. I believe the future infrastructure research and development will follow the pricipal that the building and operation of the data center must be economically cost effective and produce minimum impact to enviroment.
