Mark Encarnación leads MSR Central Engineering, which is a team of engineers and data scientists who work on the lab’s highest-priority projects. Previously, he worked in other divisions at Microsoft, was an engineering manager at a small startup, and a professor at the University of the Philippines. He has a doctorate in computer algebra from the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation, Linz, Austria.
