Usman Munir

About

Usman Munir is a Senior Technical Program Manager in the AI4Science team at Microsoft Research. His background is a mix of product and program management, and data science experience in AI, medical devices, drug discovery, and health insurance and policy.

Prior to AI4Science, Usman was a Researcher and PM in the Health Futures team at Microsoft, driving strategy research, design and execution of new AI products in mental health, hospital care and medical imaging and establishing partnerships with healthcare and life sciences organizations.

Previously, Usman was a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT CSAIL (Dina Katabi lab) and researched on the development and clinical validation of digital biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, using state-of-the-art sensing systems. Usman has a doctorate in health economics and public health from Harvard and a Masters in Epidemiology from Imperial College London.
