Oleksii Oleksenko is a researcher at Azure Research in Cambridge, UK. Oleksii develops new techniques to find and fix information leaks in secure systems, with the primary focus on microarchitectural (side-channel) attacks like Spectre and Meltdown. Beyond that, Oleksii is interested in all topics related to fuzzing, trusted execution environments, memory safety, and secure hardware architectures.

Oleksii received a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Dresden (Germany), with a thesis on defenses against microarchitectural and side-channel attacks. Before that, he received his Master’s Degree in Distributed Systems Engineering from TU Dresden, and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from NTUU “KPI”.
