About
I am a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, where I work on building efficient AI and cloud infrastructure. My research focuses on the following areas:
- Efficient RDMA systems. I work across the RDMA stack, including software (collective communication libraries and virtualization), NIC microarchitecture (support for emerging protocols and NIC–host interaction), and transport-layer mechanisms (congestion control, flow control, load balancing, and reliable delivery).
- AI infrastructure simulation. I develop efficient simulation platforms and focus on accurate modeling and generation of AI workloads.
- SmartNIC for future AI and cloud. My work explores specialized NIC designs for large-scale AI workloads, as well as resource disaggregation enabled by SmartNICs.
I am actively hiring research interns in all of the above areas. Please feel free to contact me.
Before joining Microsoft, I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University in 2018, advised by Prof. Fengyuan Ren. I also obtained my B.E. in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University in 2011.
