Rebecca Janssen is an Applied Research Assistant in the Office of Applied Research (opens in new tab), where she supports programs that connect internal and external research with E+D product groups and the transfer of research knowledge.
Before joining Microsoft, she worked as a researcher in the Digital Economy research unit (opens in new tab) at ZEW Mannheim and completed her PhD in Management & Economics at the University of Zurich. Her research focused on the economics of digital platforms. During her doctoral studies, Rebecca interned with the Chief Scientific Officer’s team at Microsoft, working on AI and the future of work, and conducted policy advisory projects for the German government.
