About
Soheil is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Microsoft Research, where he skillfully combines the fields of distributed systems/networks and machine learning, adding a unique flair and ingenuity. He is recognized for his innovative use of advanced machine learning techniques in the design of systems and networks, aiming to simplify complex challenges into efficient solutions.
Before joining Microsoft, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Department of Computer Science, where he co-led the NU lab alongside Prof. Ganjali until 2023. He earned his PhD from New York University in 2020 where he developed his pioneering pragmatic method of integrating ML with systems/network research.
Soheil is constantly searching for new methods, integrating the latest technologies and bringing a touch of creativity to his work, demonstrating that high-tech solutions can be both sophisticated and surprisingly straightforward!
