About
I am a Senior Researcher in the Research in Software Engineering (RiSE)(opens in new tab) group at Microsoft Research(opens in new tab) in Redmond, WA, USA. My research interest is at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning and human computer interaction and focuses on building human-like AI systems that assist programmers and end users in writing correct code. To that end, I develop systems that provide strong generalizability and correctness guarantees, require less data and produce interpretable code. Further, my research also investigates how powerful AI large language models have changed the landscape of programming through the lens of human computer interaction and how we can build more usable tools to better integrate language models in the programmer’s workflow.
I graduated with my Ph.D. from University of California,San Diego(opens in new tab) advised by Dr. Nadia Polikarpova (opens in new tab).
