About
Sneha Deo is the product manager for Responsible AI engineering and applied research across E+D. Her technical background focuses on AI algorithm development and productization, including work on the Intelligent Rollout, a set of techniques for safely deploying Windows OS updates, and on fairer fraud detection in financial data sets. She’s also a committed policy advocate, having led organizations like the League of Women Voters San Francisco and South Asian Americans Together for Washington to produce accessible multi-lingual policy research and civic resources for historically disenfranchised communities. Her experience as a community organizer and technical PM led her to contribute to research on online disinformation on multi-lingual platforms, data labor practices, and democratizing tech literacy.
Outside of her role at Microsoft, Sneha is also a contributor to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute, a mentor with All Tech is Human, and a board member at Hatch, a new independent school offering a girls-centered education in Seattle. In her spare time, she writes music for video games and podcasts.
