Sonia Jaffe is a Senior Principal Researcher in the AI Economy Institute at the AI for Good Lab. She studies the effects of AI on worker activity and the economy. Her research has included projects in a broad range of topics in applied microtheory, including health economics, matching theory, public finance, and industrial organization. Recently Sonia has been working with teams across Microsoft as part of the New Future of Work (opens in new tab) initiative, which started researching remote and hybrid work and has recently pivoted to studying how large language models are changing work practices.
