About
Srikant Bharadwaj (he/him) is a systems researcher focused on high-performance computing and machine intelligence applications. Before joining Microsoft, Srikant was a senior silicon design researcher at AMD Research, and his primary research field there was computer architecture. Srikant earned his bachelor’s from BITS Pilani, India, and master’s and PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.
His research interests include CPU/GPU microarchitecture, on-chip interconnects, cryogenic computing, quantum computing, and power management. He has several publications and 15+ patents (opens in new tab) in the field of GPU microarchitecture, on chip networks, accelerators, and quantum computing. He is also one of the maintainers of the widely used gem5 computer architecture simulator (opens in new tab) and HeteroGarnet (opens in new tab). He has also worked in several architectural roles in other organizations such as NVIDIA, Apple, and Sun Microsystems.
