My name is Zinan Lin (林梓楠 in Chinese). I am a Senior Researcher at Algorithms group (opens in new tab), Microsoft Research (opens in new tab). I received my Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University (opens in new tab) in 2023, where I am fortunate to be advised by Giulia Fanti (opens in new tab) and Vyas Sekar (opens in new tab). Before that, I obtained my B.E. from Tsinghua University (opens in new tab) in 2017. I am interested in the theoretical foundations of machine learning (especially generative models), and the applications in privacy, security, and networking.
