Reinforcement Learning for Logistics

Logistics is an important part of the supply chain, which is to control effective flows of goods and services between suppliers and customers. According to public report, logistics cost comprises a significant ratio of GDP of a country, ranging from 8%-20%. Reducing the logistics cost is always one of major tasks of the supply chain department in a company. Among all applications in supply chain, inventory management and routing are two major problems and have attracted many attentions in both academy and industry. In this project, we try to leverage AI technology, particularly, reinforcement learning, to improve the efficiency of the two applications in industry.
