SideSight supports virtual multi-“touch” interactions around the body of a small mobile device. Optical sensors positioned along each edge of the device allow fingers to be sensed as they approach the device from the sides. In the example depicted, the device is resting on a flat surface, and fingers touching the surface on either side of the device are sensed to provide multi-touch input.
