  1. Open the Phone Link app: Start by launching Phone Link or searching Phone Link on your Surface device’s Windows 11 PC taskbar.
  2. Select the type of smartphone you have: Your options will be Android³ or iPhone®¹.
  3. Follow the setup instructions: Scan the on-screen QR code with your smartphone’s camera and follow the instructions to finish synching your devices.
  4. Customize your notification preferences: Phone Link will guide you through the process of linking your devices, including granting the necessary permissions for access to calls, messages,²  and files.

Once set up, your devices will be synced. You can start making phone calls from your computer, accessing your phone's photos, and receiving notifications directly on your Surface.
