Surface Pro 9 specs

Depending on how you’ve chosen to build your device, the specifications on your Surface Pro 9 might vary. No matter what, you’ll be working with a powerful Windows device that combines the portability of a tablet with the performance and battery life of a high-end laptop.

Processor

No matter how you choose to build your Surface, you’ll have a powerful processor. The options will vary slightly if the model you build has 5G capabilities or if you choose a build with lots of storage. Choose between Surface Pro 9 with a 12ᵗʰ Gen Intel® Coreᵀᴹ processor or Surface Pro 9 with 5G that comes with a Microsoft SQ® 3 processor.

RAM and storage

After you’ve selected the processor that’s best for your needs, choose the Random-Access Memory (RAM) and removable storage-state drive (SSD) options that can store the amount of data you’d like. Surface Pro 9 allows for up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of removeable SSD.¹,² You can configure Surface Pro 9 with 5G with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of removable SSD.¹,²

  • Ports. If you’re looking to add peripherals to your Surface Pro 9, it’s equipped with two Thunderboltᵀᴹ 4 USB-C® ports³ and a Type Cover port for attaching a keyboard.
  • Battery power. Your Surface’s battery can provide up to 15.5 hours once it’s fully charged via the magnetic charging port.
  • Touchscreen. With a dynamic, edge-to-edge display with a 10-point multi-touch touchscreen that supports tactile signals, your Surface has the flexibility of a tablet with the performance of a laptop.
  • Cameras and microphones. Your Surface comes fully loaded with front- and rear-facing 1080p HD cameras and dual microphones. Whether you’re recording a how-to video, streaming gameplay, or participating in a conference call, you’ll come through loud and clear.
  • Most popular operating system in the world. That’s right. Your Surface Pro 9 comes with Windows 11 Home installed and ready to greet you.
