General: The Microsoft Enterprise AI Services Code of Conduct, effective February 26, 2025, applies to all Microsoft AI Services and unifies and replaces the previous codes for Microsoft Generative AI Services, Azure AI Vision Face API, and Azure AI Speech text to speech. All references to the previous Code of Conduct(s) have been updated.
Universal License Terms for Online Services: Frontline Worker Use Rights have moved to the Universal Terms for Online Services from product specific pages. Relevant products that apply to the Use Rights covered by the Universal Terms are indicated in the Product Condition table in product specific pages, and a new definition for “Frontline Worker License” has been introduced in the Glossary. Updated Government Customer terms language for clarity.
Privacy & Security Terms: Added Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales to Core Online Services.
Windows Desktop Operating System: Launch Windows 10 ESU Cloud Managed SKUs.
Microsoft 365: Removed Microsoft Entra Permissions Management, Microsoft Viva Topics and Secure Access Essentials from Availability and Prerequisite tables. Added Frontline Worker Licenses to Product Conditions.
Microsoft Azure: Added Frontline Worker Licenses to Product Conditions.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Services: Removed Dynamics 365 Fraud Protection and Fraud Protection Additional Capacity from Availability tables and Restrictions of Use.
Audio Services: Updated link to Learn document for messaging policy.
Windows 365: Updated Windows 365 Frontline terms and grant Windows 365 access rights for Windows CPC OS. Added Windows 365 Disaster Recovery Plus Add-on to Availability Table.
Professional Services: Updated Professional Services terms.
Glossary: Added Frontline Worker License and Microsoft AI Service.

Microsoft 365: Updated Data Handling terms and query data terms for M365 Copilot and Copilot Chat. Added language to clarify that server OSEs need a separate Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Business, or Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management for server license(s).

Privacy & Security Terms: Added Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to the list of EU Data Boundary Services.
Microsoft 365: Updated Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Data Handling headline to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Data Handling to enable data handling terms for both Copilot and Copilot Chat.
Microsoft Azure: Extend Azure Local to include smaller, more affordable devices than traditional servers. Added exception to commitment on location of data processing for optional model fine-tuning feature in Azure OpenAI Service.

Privacy & Security Terms: Added Azure Managed Applications, Azure Resource Manager, and Cloud PC to EU Data Boundary Services tables. Updated EU Data Boundary Services terms to include storage of Professional Services Data. Corresponding changes were also made in the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum.
- Microsoft Defender for Business, added clause stating a customer can apply Defender for Business to five devices.
- Removed Microsoft 365 Information Protection and DLP – Student Use Benefit Add-on from Availability and Prerequisite Tables.
Microsoft Azure: Adding language to Azure Communication Services terms to require developers to collect explicit consent for recording if the tenant admin has enabled explicit recording.
Audio Services (renamed to PSTN Audio Services): Updated SMS functionality to include privacy language and messaging policy.

Privacy & Security Terms: Moved certain Privacy & Security Terms, which were previously located in the individual Product Offerings pages for Software, to the Privacy & Security Terms section of the Product Terms site. Added a new Software Products table to the "Exceptions to the DPA" section. This update was made to categorize similar terms together and improve the customer experience and discoverability of Privacy & Security terms.
Microsoft 365: Added eligible A plans for Microsoft 365 Cross-tenant User Data Migration prerequisites.
Microsoft Defender Experts: Added MCA table and updated License Prerequisite Table.
Microsoft Azure: Added clarification to Text-To-Speech (TTS) Services.

GitHub Offerings: Added GitHub Copilot Enterprise to Availability Tables. Also added a clause for GitHub Core Online Services, as well as Security Practices and Policies for GitHub Core Online Services.
Glossary: Updated “Covered Product” and “External Users” definitions. Added definition of GitHub Core Online Services.
