The Harlem Globetrotters and Microsoft team up to teach youth how to code. The Harlem CODEtrotters, a coding curriculum powered by Community Training and Microsoft Makecode, show students how to code their own Globetrotter player while learning about their rich basketball history and social impact.

Find answers to common questions about the Nonprofit Tech Acceleration Program.
  • There is no cost for qualified organizations. Qualified 501(c)(3) organizations have access to the grant and license offers, as well as the Onboarding Concierge services. Non-501(c)(3) organizations have access to Concierge Services and discounted licenses.

  • Once you complete and receive confirmation of registration for the NTA program, you will continue to have access to Onboarding Concierge services. You can renew nonprofit grants and discounts annually given that your organization remains eligible.  See the Nonprofits eligibility page for details.

  • Our Onboarding Concierge does not build out solutions, but they will work alongside your staff or IT consultant via virtual meetings.

  • Microsoft Partners are additional resources outside of the NTA program. Our specialists can help match you with a Certified Partner, but they do have an additional cost.

  • The NTA program does not include hardware grants. However, the resources below offer additional information about how Microsoft and our partners provide low-cost computers and hardware to eligible nonprofits. 

  • Students at eligible schools can access Office 365 for free.

  • Our specialists can match you with a Microsoft Certified Partner based on your needs, but there is a separate cost from the partner.

  • The NTA program is for nonprofits that serve Black and African American communities. The organization does not have to be black-led.

  • You must be a 501(c)(3) organization to receive the grant and license offers, but non-501(c)(3) organizations can still use the Onboarding Concierge services.

  • Each organization must have their own unique 501(c)(3) status to qualify for the license and grant offers through Microsoft. Non-501(c)(3) organizations are still eligible for the Onboarding Concierge services.

  • Yes, access Microsoft offers, virtual trainings, and workshops here. Our trainers can also develop customized training for your staff.

  • Yes, websites can be hosted through Azure App Services.

  • Yes, you may acquire Microsoft 365 Business Premium with the help of a partner. A Microsoft partner can help modify the licenses to add the free offer into your assets.
