How it works

Step 1: Browse, and fill your cart

When you find the products you wish to purchase, add them to your cart. In order to use Citizens Pay, please make sure your total is $900 pre-tax or more. Exclusions apply. See FAQs below.

Step 2: Go to checkout

To complete your purchase, sign in to your Microsoft Account. You’ll see the full price of your items displayed by default in your cart at this time.

Step 3: Select your payment type

At checkout, choose a way to pay. Choose Citizens Pay.

Step 4: Apply for Citizens Pay

Fill out the form, agree to the terms at the bottom, and submit your application to Citizens Pay.

Step 5: Complete your purchase

Once you’ve been approved, your Citizens Pay Line of Credit will be automatically applied at checkout. Complete your purchase by placing your order.

  • A Citizens Pay Line of Credit lets approved customers make purchases at Microsoft Store for a low monthly price and no upfront cost.^  This Line of Credit offers you a fixed interest rate of 0% APR for up to 18 months.^  You will receive a statement each month, and Citizens Pay recommends setting up automatic payments in order to ensure that your bill is paid on time. This payment method offers $0 down and no interest or fees when you pay on time.
  • Once you have filled your cart with qualifying items totaling a minimum of $900 before taxes and shipping, go to checkout and sign into your Microsoft Account. Select ‘payment type’ and in the drop-down menu, choose ‘Citizen’s Pay.’ Fill out the form completely and then submit your application. If you are approved, you will be informed that you have a revolving line of credit available to use at checkout.

  • Actual line of credit amounts are set based upon an applicant’s credit worthiness and will range from $1,700 - $6,700. To be eligible to apply for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit, your cart size must be a minimum of $900 in qualifying products before taxes and shipping.

If no further purchases are made using your Citizens Pay Line of Credit for Microsoft Store, your account will be closed after a period of inactivity—usually 90 days.
